Senior Sessions
Most seniors show up with a face they have practiced. That is normal. My job is to get past it.
I direct. You will never be left standing there wondering what to do with your hands. I will tell you where to look, how to shift your weight, what to do with the sweater you brought. And I will show you the back of the camera, often, so you can see it working.
By the end of most sessions, seniors are telling me where to stand.
I photograph seniors from Glenbrook South, Glenbrook North, New Trier, and Loyola Academy, across Glenview, Wilmette, Winnetka, Northbrook, and Deerfield.

45 or more edited images in a private online gallery.

A style and prep guide before the session, so nobody spends the week before guessing.
Yearbook submissions. If your school needs a headshot for the yearbook, tell me when you book. I will flag it in your 48-hour sneak peek so you have it well before your deadline.
Family photos too. Most senior families add thirty minutes at the end for photos with parents and siblings. Pricing is below.

That is the whole trick, and it is why we do not spend your session sitting in a car. A single good location has more in it than most people see. A white wall, a stretch of open light, a doorway, a stairwell. We work it from every angle it has and come away with photos that look like they were taken in four different places.
You pick where. Some seniors want the spot that means something. The field behind the school. The block you have walked since you were six. Your kitchen at ten in the morning.
Some want a look instead of a place. Clean and editorial against a white wall. Warm and open in tall grass at the end of the day. Something with more edge downtown.
Some want the lake, and the North Shore is good for that. Gillson Beach in Wilmette, the Glen in Glenview, the Winnetka bluffs.

After. A sneak peek within 48 hours. Your full gallery in two weeks, with a print shop built in.
Most senior photographers take two weeks just to show you the images and another four to six to get prints in your hands. You will have something to post the same week.
How it works
Two to three outfits you already feel good in. Not the ones you think you are supposed to wear.
One layer. A sweater, a jacket, an overshirt. Layers add texture, and they give your hands something to hold. It is the most useful thing you can pack.
Shoes you can actually move in.
You will receive a full style and prep guide to help you plan what to wear and what to bring.

I take a limited number of senior sessions each season. Book early.

Ninety minutes. That is a deliberate choice. A four hour session with hair and makeup is a real option in this market and some seniors want it. Most want to be done, look like themselves, and get back to their Saturday.

Book by early summer for August through October dates. Those months have the best light on the North Shore and they fill first. If you need a yearbook submission, work backward from your school's deadline and give yourself four weeks of cushion.
